About the Position
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic & hands on IT Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team in our Melbourne office. You will be responsible for providing daily support for all network, cloud, and server systems within the Strikeforce group of companies. Reporting directly to the Head of IT, this role will serve as the primary point of escalation for the Helpdesk staff and will involve various day-to-day operational IT tasks, which will include but are not limited to:
- Overall Infrastructure Environment
- System and Network Monitoring using PRTG
- Servers & OS Management including Patch management
- EUC Management using Intune or Desktop Central
- Device Management using Workforce One
- Management of Cloud environments including M365, Azure and AWS
- User Identity Management through Entra ID and on-premise AD
- Overall Network Management including Meraki SD-WAN, Wireless Networks, Firewalls, Switches and Routers.
- Management of various hosting environments including AWS, Azure and Private Cloud hosted within TPG environment
- Virtualisation with Microsoft Hyper-V
- ManageEngine ITSM Suite include Service Desk Plus, Desktop Central, Log360, AD Audit Plus
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 5+ years of IT experience in a similar role.
- 3+ Years experience with Windows Client and Server operating systems.
- 3+ Years experience Demonstrated experience in public cloud environments, preferably with AWS or Azure.
- 3+ Years experience in identity management, specifically Entra ID and O365.
- Thorough knowledge of networking, particularly with networking solutions, especially SD-WAN Networking solutions and wireless networks.
- Experience in using backup systems, preferably using Veeam.
- Solid knowledge of routing and switching.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks, preferably ISO 27001.
- Exposure to device management, including Workspace One or Intune, with experience in hardening and compliance.
- Experience with vendor management.
- Experience in management of cybersecurity practices, including antivirus management, patch management, vulnerability management, and SIEM.
- Experience with helpdesk escalations and supporting IT helpdesk.
- Experience in private cloud environments, specifically Microsoft Hyper-V, along with general virtualization experience.
- Detail-oriented working style with the ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Honest and trustworthy.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to explain solutions to non-technical users.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain multiple business relationships.
- Capable of mentoring and assisting junior staff within a team environment.
