Reporting to the Group Account Director - DIY you will be a strategic and sales minded professional, responsible for supporting our Clients to reach their full potential.

About the Role:

We are currently searching for a talented National Account Manager to work closely with our valued Partners to drive sales and business growth of their products through the DIY/Trade Channel. This role complements an existing team of Account  Managers that are ambitious and talented.   You will take a consultative approach to interpreting partner requirements and further developing relationships.

The role requires an elevated level of leadership linked to change management, influencing skills and the establishment of very clear business objectives that are aligned to the overall business strategy. You'll be joining a team with good tenure and an open-door policy who work collaboratively on accounts to achieve the best results for the business.

Key functions of the role include:

  • Align the thinking of your customers with the retail landscape by leveraging your knowledge
  • Carefully articulate the agreed customer plan through field operations to ensure client briefs are accurately developed and executed.
  • Manage the timely implementation of Partner activations and objectives
  • Regularly report back to Partners on the progress of their projects and activation
  • Provide Data analysis to demonstrate category insights and drive targeted initiatives
  • Report to clients on gains and efficiencies
  • Provide leadership to the field as a brand ambassador, as you keep the team informed about Partner products and activations
  • Identify new channel / customer opportunities
  • Identify new areas of business growth

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification (desirable)
  • Significant retail / FMCG or DIY experience
  • Previous experience in sales or account or client management with direct exposure to national home improvement retailers
  • Evidence of managing projects, strategic planning and delivering on time, within budget
  • Sales experience and a natural rapport building ability
  • Customer relationship management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Advanced negotiation skills
